If you are talking apples and oranges, then you are talking about two different truths, often both valid, and you are wasting time and energy in needless argument, not to mention being a nerd in the worst sense of the word (as opposed to the cool kind of nerd *wink*).

Taken to extremes your pursuit and appreciation of pure truth can lead to cold detachment, pride and a sense of superiority. Well, you may indeed be smarter than others in so many things, but keep in mind that pride is merely complacency breeding false confidence which can hold you back from improving yourself further — pride can weaken you and make you stupid. Keep in mind also that intelligence is only one of the tools in the arsenal of a Rennaissance Man or Woman, and that is what you want to be, right? You want to be completely well-rounded as a human being, because that is the only mathematically perfect condition to strive for.

The other tools in the arsenal, if you are curious — and I know you are — are wisdom, patience, humor, and the ability to put yourself in another's place completely to see how they came to be the way they are. Wisdom takes truth and looks at it from the widest number of perspectives possible, approaching that of the Absolute. Patience takes the truth before you and gives you the strength to face it and the time to internalize it. Humor allows you to look at painful reality objectively and to stand clear of it enough to see it for what it is without fear. Putting yourself in another's shoes gives you a unique second perspective and the most valuable lesson possible — mercy and compassion are nothing more than willingness to understand and explore the hidden logic behind another's motivations.

Another way to put it is, wisdom makes you genuine, patience makes you strong, humor makes you elegant and putting yourself in another's place makes you aware. Not bad, eh?

You might wonder why I did not mention Love. And why I just capitalized it. Well, keep wondering, my friend! Because that is for me to know and for you to find out! And finding things out is what you do best. So, get cracking! Teachers, scientists, detectives, mathematicians, composers, researchers, navigators, philosophers, and other seekers are often guided by the clear and direct, searchlight-bright light of Koerdis.

Acabei de ver aquele filme 'Gothika', ou se preferirem, 'Na Companhia do Medo'. Como o Fred me disse... mto óbvio o filme. Na metade eu já sabia do resto. :P A única coisa q tirou reação minha foram os sustos. :P Claro, eu tb não sou de ferro, principalmente com fantasmas e afins. :P Mas bah... pra filme de sessão da tarde, dá p encarar. Aliás, depois de ver 'Lisbela e o Prisioneiro' e 'O Homem do Ano', tow achando q o cinema brasileiro está ganhando a minha preferência. :P Apesar de ter visto a trilogia de Senhor dos Anéis (e ter achado mto massa, é tudo bem feitinho e tals...), ainda não me conformo com o Frodo. :P Foi o q acabou estragando tudo p mim. Sim, eu ainda gosto de heróis e etc, e putz... oki, sem spoilers. :P (mas será q ainda tem gente q não viu o fim da trilogia? :P)

E nossa, ando vendo um anime MUITO bom, coisa q desde q acabou Read or Dream TV (a versão de Read or Die p tv) eu não tinha visto. Chama-se Chrno Crusade. A história por cima parece ser bem boba, uma freirinha com seu demônio contratado caçando demônios e etc... mas bah, a animação é mto boa, e tem mtas outras coisas por trás. Já peguei a OST e o anime tow pegando de fansub brasileiro (q aliás, tá mto bom ^_^), é uma associação do omda e baka-br (quando eu arranjar link eu coloco, vale a pena divulgar bons fansubbers brasileiros ^_^). Tow pegando tb Ghost in the Shell SAC 2nd Gig (confesso q vi apenas a primeira temporada e pela metade... MAS VALE A PENA! É mto bom, a animação, o desenho (limpo, como eu gosto :P) e a história... nya ^.^), Madlax (só vi o 1º ep, mas gostei da história) e Monster (é bem sério e cheio de suspense... só vi os 5 primeiros tb, sux :P). É o q a falta de ter o q fazer faz, pelo menos ando ocupando meu tempo com anime. :P Ah, além dessas coisas, tow comprando o mangá de Cowboy Bebop. ^_^ Q fique claro: estou apenas comprando porq serão só 6 edições, com histórias inéditas. Não ia aguentar ficar comprando aqueles mangás q não acabam nunca, jogando meu dinheiro no lixo. :P Afinal, não sou rica e ainda não estou trabalhando. :P (pra falar a verdade, queria comprar o mangá de Chobits... mas putz, minha avareza não deixa :P)

Outra coisa... o Orkut. :P caramba, aquilo é demais, espero q eu não vicie. :P Tem assunto pra tudo quanto é gente, pra todos os gostos e etc... e tem cada barbaridade tb, putz. :P Convidei uma pá de gente pra entrar, porq lá (infelizmente ou felizmente, vai saber) só pode entrar quem é convidado. Acabou virando 'coisa chique' na net esse Orkut. O Fred q me apresentou (e deixou eu entrar :P), obrigada! ^.^ Hj, mesmo morrendo de cólica, fiquei a manhã lendo bobagem no Orkut, além de ficar postando coisas nos fóruns da vida. :P Aliás, é impressionante a quantidade de assunto q se tem pra discutir (ou até msm ler... curiosidade rls :P) lá, dá p ficar perdendo tempo. Então, pra quem eu mandei o convite, faça o favor de entrar, hein? :P Eu não faço amigos mto facilmente naquele negócio... acho até q só tenho amigos q conheço msm lá, q acabei garimpando p achar. :P Anyway, vou tomar banho porq tá mto frio e eu preciso deitar, cólica sux demais. (isso se minha força de vontade deixar, senão eu vou voltar p Orkut... -.-) See ya. ^_^

Cara... essa história da USP estar 'greventa' tá enchendo o saco. Bem agora q eu tava me esforçando p caramba p fazer minhas matérias e acabar logo essa faculdade, as coisas páram. Pelo menos arranjei alguma coisa p fazer: estou fazendo sabonetes. ^_^ (povo de Recife, sem piadinhas. :P) É legal, cheirosinho e serve de terapia. :P É bem fácil de fazer, só misturar as coisas e colocar nas forminhas. O q mais enche é ficar embalando os sabonetinhos no papel filme, acho q ainda vou pegar trauma... ou sei lá, virar profissional em embalar coisas com papel filme. :P

O dia dos namorados foi legal, ficamos juntos o fds inteirinho. ^_^ Foi bom porq fez frio, isso facilitava o 'ficar juntinho'. :P Vimos filme, vários documentários da Discovery... cara, fazia tempo q eu não via tv. :P Tudo mudou de horário, de dia e etc... se eu quiser ver algo, vou ter q garimpar na Revista da NET (coisa q eu odeio). Mas anyway, foi massa. ^_^ Ah, e quinta passada (no feriado) teve fondue na casa do Edson" ^.^ Foi divertido, tem fotinho no meu fotolog. :P Aliás, daqui a pouco a gente vai gravar um CD só com foto, porq o q tem de foto aqui... impressionante o q uma cam digital faz com uma pessoa, ela fica compulsiva tirando fotos. :P

Agora vou almoçar, e de tarde vou digitar um trabalho pra minha irmã, ela deve vir umas 18hrs pegar o trabalho. Se eu ainda ganhasse pra isso... mas nem, é escravidão msm. :P Aproveitam q eu tow sem fazer nada e ficam me arranjando coisas. :P Mas anyway, vou ficar aqui a tarde inteira, o q é bom... já q está tããão frio. ~_~; Só queria q certo alguém tivesse aqui p ficar debaixo do edredom comigo p esquentar, preguiça rls. :P

PS: hj a coisa foi mais 'meu diário, hj eu fiz...' porq não estou com mto saco. :P Só postei msm pras pessoas virem q eu não morri depois do frio de ontem. :P Anyway, o fotolog fica um pouco mais ativo q aqui, dêem uma passada lá. ^_^

Olás. :P Só vim mesmo pra colocar um link pra um meme (tipo daqueles questionários q vem em mail, sabem? :P) q eu vi no lj da Plinti (é uma coisa mei de livejournal, mas adaptei e coloquei numa página :P). O link está aqui, é sobre anime. ^_^

Como domingo é monótono. :P Apesar de ter passado o dia aqui em casa no quentinho, com companhia agradável (óbvio :P), domingo ainda não passa de ser o 'mundial dia da preguiça'. Apesar q com essa história de greve na USP, pra mim, qq dia tá sendo dia da preguiça. :P Acho q vou começar a fazer sabonetes, ando vendo programas vespertinos demais. :P No mais anda tudo tranquilo. ^_^

Só estou tendo problemas pra pensar na continuação da minha aventura de Vampiro, já q a gente acabou o plot q estava em Mago (q o Edson mestra), eagora chegou a minha vez. :P Não q eu adooooore Time of Judgement, mas acho ser extremamente necessário e lógico. Não sei ainda se vou usar coisas dos livros da White Wolf, se vou fazer aquela 'adaptação' básica... ou se continuo com o meu plot, q modéstia à parte, acho estar mto boa. Também a idéia de reunir o pessoal pra jogar me agrada muito, as tarde (e quase noites :P) são mto boas e divertidas. ^_^ Só queria q a Rê, o Chris e a Plin voltassem, apesar da idéia de um grupo grande não me agradar muito. :P mas... vamos tentar fazer o q pudermos, jogando RPG no final tá ótimo. :P

E putz... o dia dos namorados está chegando, e agora como estamos juntos (tirando a distância do meio da gente :P), me apavora ter q escolher algum presente. >.< Mesmo sabendo do q ele gosta (hmmm.... totalmente censurado :P (apesar de me dar idéias também.. ;P))... sei lá, não sei. :P mas vai ser bom passar juntinho, principalmente se fizer frio. ^.^ Ah, não tow mto afim de escrever hj, vou deixar as divagações pro meio de semana. :P
